About Us

The Tenth Hole Tearooms is run by a team of enthusiastic and energetic staff, all with a passion for all things cake-shaped!

Our team have been busy serving you with a smile for nearly six years now, but the tearooms itself has been in existence for the last 30 years and the pitch and putt was founded back in 1914 making it the oldest Pitch and Putt course in the world!

We refurbished back in January 2014 giving our bustling tearooms a new lease of life.

We are proud to play an important role in our local community, with a number of regulars who come back time and time again and lots of new faces every day too. Our breakfasts and cakes seem to draw people in come rain or shine, but we make a mean doorstep sandwich too thanks to local baker, Portsmouth Commercial Bakery, delivering fresh bread to our door once, sometimes twice a day.

We source as much of our ingredients as we can locally, using Bransbury Park Butchers for our meat, O’ Hagans for our sausages and Portsmouth Fruit & Flower for our fruit and veg; whilst all of our eggs are free range. Our teas are provided by the lovely Teapigs offering a delicious selection of flavours and our compact kitchen is always busy with 2 full time bakers constantly churning out cakes, and coming up with new, delicious additions to our cabinet display.

We have a penchant for fundraising too and the whole team have been involved in climbing mountains, jumping out of planes and running marathons. In 2013 we raised a whopping £12,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and this year, 2016 we have chosen to raise money for the well-deserving MS Society. So far, we’ve hosted Cake Bakes, 2 of our girls have skydived and we are set to organise another one of our exciting Zumba sessions soon.

We put a focus on excellent customer service and will always greet you with a smile – nothing is too much trouble – the world of tea and cake really is a very happy place to be!

We look forward to meeting you soon!
